In a Galaxy Near You

The year is 2039. The situation on Earth is beyond catastrophic. The ozone layer has been destroyed by carbon emissions from cars, chemical factories and poush-poush cans. The Earth is dying in the sun's rays, harvests are totally destroyed and sun lotion companies are making big cash. We must find a new planet to wich we can move 6 billion boneheads... Make that 5 billion... Actually, there are 4 left. For this purpose the Planetary Federation turned to the World's greatest superpower, Japan. Japan know-how led to the launch on June 23th, 2034 of the spaceship Romano-Fafard. Its mission: to find a new home planet for earthlings. Its destination: the outer limits of the universe. Where the hand of man has never set foot.

"In a Galaxy Near You" is a serie on TV (and a movie too) from Quebec and it's too damn funny ^_^ the little text in italic is the traduction of the "opening theme" (wich I only changed Canada for Japan ^_^)

For a while *sonitweek and me tried to mach of our characters with the seven charas of In a Galaxy but it never worked very well... Then I had the idea of matching the Sonic charas and it fitted perfectly! ^_^ It was for me the best occasion to make some kind of fanart of In A Galaxy and at the same time I had my entry for the *sonic-club Free-for-All contest! yay!

Now I feel like explaining all the characters and their role on the spaceship on a quest to find a new planet where to move 4 billion boneheads. (beware: long rant ahead)

Knuckles : Flavien Bouchard : Radar technician
He's aslo became second officer of the ship after Shadow's destitution. He's part alien and that explain his extra-good sighting and earing senses and that make him a very good warrior too. His biggest fault is that he's gullible XD He has a relation with Rouge though he doesn't want it to go too far too fast. He's very friend with Tails and often team up with him to beat up Shadow.

Tails : Bob Dieudonné Marcellin : Pilot
He looks up to the captain almost like to a father and he wants to be perfect to his eyes. He lacks a bit of self-esteem and is unsure of himself even if he souldn't. He like to pull pranks on Shadow with the help of Knuckles.
The pic: Don't look at his gun!! ... I said don't look! I know it's ugly! Look at his face instead and be overwhelmed by the cuteness ^_^

Amy : Valence Leclerc : Psychologist
She's the captain's lover and she makes that very obvious. She's a very good psychologist though her methods are sometime contreversed (like the Piko Piko Hammer Therapy XD). Her life-goal is to find the good in Shadow and she's the only one who think there is hidden good in Shadow.
The pic: Yes I drew her a bit more grown up and I like her very much like that.

Sonic : Charles Patenaude : Captain
The less crazy of all the gang (and if Sonic is the less crazy, imagine the others ._.) he's very determined to achieve the Mission *looks up and right* He's known for his weird proverbs to boost the crew's moral. ex.: After the rain... the grass is wet. >_> yeah... well he's in love over the head with Amy but he hates Shadow with a passion. He likes Tails very much, like a son.

Rouge : Pétrolia Stanislavski : Medic
She's aslo mecanician in her free time even though the captain almost has an heart attack every time she touches a screwdriver. She's in love with Knuckles and very possessive over him. She never lived on Earth, she was born on a lost space station and was taken on board of the ship with the robot she had made, E-102 Gamma. She's possessive over her robot too.
The pic: I like Rouge on that pic, I think she's pretty. wich is really something ._.

Shadow : Brad Spitfire : Scientific
Could aslo be called the bad guy... Was second officer at the start of the Mission *looks up and right* but since he hates everyone and is hated by everyone... and aslo because he tried to kill every other crew member at least 15 times and pronounced above 5000 hurtful remarks... and he almost leaded the Mission *looks up and right* to failure many times... well because of all that he lost his position as second officer. XD but he has good in him!! It's just very hard to find... He aslo wants to be captain badly and he will try everything to achieve this goal. One last thing, he thinks himself to be the Ultimate Life-Form but in fact, he's really a wuss and Knuckles' and Tails' punching bag. *is killed by Shadow fangirls*
The pic: Nothing to say about him really. He's Brad so he's cool.

E-123 Omega : Serge 1 to 8 : Robot
Was brought on the spaceship with Rouge. He was then E-102 but he has an extensive history of being destroyed then rebuilt XD So he's now E-123. He's very protective of his creator, Rouge.
The pic: I drew a robot!! I did something that look a bit like shiny metal! go me!! ^_^;

Still there?? Now about the pic in general, all the general concept of the pic, the outfits, I'd say the poses even! aren't mine 'cause this is totally based on the poster of In A Galaxy movie SEE IT HERE
BUT!! it was still a lot of work, took me at least 4 days (intensives 'cause I needed it done for the contest ._.) And I'm proud of that pic.
I liked doing this pic way too much too so it is highly possible that you'll see other fanarty-crossover-y pic of them relatively soon~ ^_^;

Oh yeah, for the contest: I'm 20, I'm a big guy!
